About Us - Passionate about Psychiatry

Hi, we are Psych Scene. We started in a suburban Sydney home in 2008, with the quest to enhance psychiatry as our guiding passion. The distinct lack of comprehensive psychiatry training in mental health organisations is what gave us the ambitious idea of developing world-class educational concepts that everyone working in psychiatry could benefit from.

CTF Courses were created to answer to the growing number of requests from Australian colleagues preparing for their RANZCP Exams. Based on the great feedback from our peers, we soon took the next step in developing the online learning concept for psychiatric interviewing and management skills; Psych Interview. Through its innovative approach and stringent focus on specialised education, Psych Interview has become the choice of Trainees, Psychiatrists, General Practitioners, Nurses and Psychologists worldwide. Trainees preparing for the CASC, RANZCP, Canadian and American Board Exams now pick Psych Interview as a must have high impact training tool. Sticking to the core concept of providing unique, top quality psychiatry education; the Psych Evidence Online Course was launched in recognising the need for critical appraisal, evaluation and adherence to Evidence Based Principles in mental health organisations.

Psych Scene Special Events, such as the Medical Symposium and the Masterclass for Mental Health Nurses, have been received with great praise in Australia and continue to be part of the training portfolio in years to come. We recognise that all mental health professionals are in need of motivational training in order to upgrade their skills and offer better outcomes to their patients. In a few short years we have trained over a thousand people working in the field of psychiatry. Our vision is to enhance psychiatry by empowering people – and we look forward to networking with organisations, health services and teams with similar goals to effect change.

Sanil's passion is to demontrate to health professionals how high quality education can transform their careers and make a difference to the people they work with. A firm believer in the maxim "Problems cannot be solved within the framework in which they were created"; he has developed a unique biopsychosociocultural approach to health and a strategic decision making paradigm that feature prominently in his training initiatives. Having gained extensive teaching experience through various workshops, Sanil is renowned as an enthusiastic and motivational course facilitator who promotes interaction and discussion.

Business Development & Admin
With her background in marketing and obsession for achieving excellence in customer service, Jaana puts together the puzzle of implementing and further expanding the idea of great educational outcomes for psychiatry professionals as the BDM and Admin person of Psych Scene. She is your choice of contact for enquiries, service requests, feedback and much more. Jaana carries her mobile office from Melbourne across the world; so whatever the query, she is prompt to reply!
