I thoroughly enjoyed the mental health masterclass. The diagnostic hierarchy and the conceptualisation of mesolimbic system activation were particularly enlightening—concepts I hadn’t come across before, but which now make so much sense.
Looking back, this masterclass is entirely relevant to my clinical practice. It made me realise that our previous approach to managing mental health patients has often been quite superficial, limited mostly to SSRIs, SNRIs, and counselling. I now have a much clearer understanding of how to approach mental health more comprehensively, using a multimodal framework and interventions tailored to the underlying neurobiological processes. This session has been a real eye-opener.

I believe this should be the foundation for mental health training for GPs/ registers at the earliest stages and should be promoted to be implemented at least to the new GP registrars and GP who are interested in this field. It was one of the best workshops I have attended which has some substance and some thing new too learn . Would certainly attend future classes of Dr Rege and certainly would promote it among my colleagues.
Excellent course / Masterclass. Nicely broken down into salient, separate components. Excellent discourse into neuropharmacology, which I found helpful as a reminder and update to my knowledge base, to interpret the actions & side-effects of psychotrophic medications, and to assess if the actions of the medications on the patient's outcomes, both positive & negative. I feel better equipped if I have a good understanding of the basics and then am able to make sense of unforeseen scenarios.

The best educational activity that I have ever attended. A few years ago, I participated in Dr Rege’s conference/ workshop and it changed my husband and my practice. I can say with confidence that we are different GPs in the field of mental health since then. This activity always expands your understanding of mental health and alters the way of looking at the problem. In general practice we are now confronted with patients googling their problem and presenting with a standardised list of symptoms. The hierarchical approach allows one to look at symptomatology and understand a process without being caught up in a diagnosis.
